An education fund has been established in the name of a former Division of Urology faculty member who passed away in December.
Alan David Podis, MD, was a respected clinical assistant professor of urology for 16 years and was awarded an emeritus professorship upon his retirement, working out of Rhode Island Hospital and the Providence Veterans Administration Medical Center.
In 2012, Dr. Podis was honored with the newly established Alan D. Podis, MD Teaching Award.
